Shipping policy
At Cali Coral Connect, we do our best to ensure your corals get shipped safely by providing a quality poly bag filled with the appropriate amount of water. We add more protection to your coral by adding two rubber bands to seal the top tightly and avoid leaking. Corals with sharp skeletons may be double-bagged or have a liner inside to protect them from leaking during shipping. Corals may also be placed in isolated containers as a substitute for the poly bags. Based on the zip code provided, we would add a heat or cold pack to your order to ensure there aren't big temperature swings during shipping.
Shipping prices are based on the current rates from FedEx or UPS. They are subject to change if the rates increase or decrease.
- Orders placed in temperatures above 80 degrees Fahrenheit or below 50 degrees Fahrenheit will be subject to delay until better conditions to avoid high DOA chances.
- Containers or bags are placed into shipping boxes and shipped by FedEx or UPS and are to arrive at your doorstep the next day to avoid being in shipping for too long.
- After the coral is dropped off and we receive a tracking number, we will send it to you via the contact information at checkout.
- The day and time your order is set to arrive, someone must be available to receive the coral to prevent the livestock from being exposed to the outside elements. If you wish to delay a delivery, please get in touch with us after or before placing your order.
- All orders will be shipped overnight.
- Weather conditions in your area may affect the delivery speed of your coral. If there is an upcoming storm or high heat warning, please get in touch with us to hold your order until conditions clear. Orders will not be shipped if there are weather problems or high amounts of rain in the area.
- We will hold orders for a maximum of 2 weeks upon request.
- If you wish to cancel an order, we must be notified before the package is shipped out.
- We do not ship internationally or to Hawaii at this time.
- Orders will not be shipped if there is a pending balance on our website.
- We do not require a signature for delivery, but we urge you to acclimate and then add your new livestock to your reef as soon as it is delivered.
- Shipping corals outside the US is prohibited by the law, and if caught doing so, we are not responsible for the shipment going wrong.
- Regarding a DOA, please see our return and refund policy for the rules.
